Buying Solutions - The National Procurement Partner for UK Public Services

The Mobile Solutions framework is divided into several lots. This particular lot concerns the provision of mobile voice and data services to satisfy the basic needs of public sector mobile phone users, including, as a minimum:

• Making and receiving voice calls
• Sending and receiving SMS (short messaging service)
• The provision of voicemail services
• The provision of mobile data
• Mobile data applications and value added mobile services including:

• Data transmission through GSM (Global System for Mobile), GPRS (General Packet Radio Service), UMTS (Universal Mobile Telephone System), HSCSD (High Speed Circuit Switched Data), 2.5G, 3G and High Speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA) technologies
• Device agnostic, data applications as solutions to business requirements such as push email, job scheduling, etc
• Other mobile voice and data services such as, lone worker protection, virtual private assistant, bulk SMS and vehicle tracking, etc.
