ICT Consultancy & Delivery Services Framework Agreement
The descriptions below are not intended to be all encompassing or represent an exhaustive list of services that are available. They are provided to give an indication of the type of services available in each lot.
With the exception of ICT Strategy, the remaining lots will include service delivery and limited product supply.
This Framework Agreement is not however a product supply or service delivery only channel.
Lot 1 ICT Strategy Consultancy & Development
This lot provides consultancy relating to the development of Information and Communications Strategies. These may include but are not limited to such aspects as:
- Sustainability/Green computing
- New ways of working
- Outsourcing
- Shared Services
This lot will also include Feasibility Studies, Full Studies and Post Implementation Reviews.
Lot 2 Application Consultancy & Delivery Services
This lot offers advice and guidance on the design, build, test and development of ICT applications (bespoke or customised COTS) to deliver Customer ICT strategies and projects. It can include the design of stand-alone applications or middleware to ensure effective systems integration as well as advice on application design management.
The lot can also provide support with the implementation and integration of the application. Ongoing maintenance and support may be provided if required.
Lot 3 ICT Architecture and Infrastructure Consultancy & Delivery Services
This lot offers advice and guidance on the design, optimisation and implementation of new and existing ICT systems. The service providers will use their expertise to propose a solution that best meets a customer’s requirement in terms of compatibility and performance.
The lot will also cover such aspects as:
- Integration of business processes with application and data across diverse platforms and technologies;
- Data Management;
- Authentication;
- Service Orientated Architecture;
- Networks and Telecommunications consultancy;
- Secure network design and implementation;
- Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity services.
This lot will also cover the development and production of all relevant documentation and the provision of support during systems integration.
Lot 4 ICT Security Consultancy & Delivery Services
This lot has four sub lots and provides consultancy and service provision relating to ICT Security and Information Assurance.
Lot 4a Planning and Design
This will include such aspects as:
- Physical security analysis and advice on countermeasures, security processes and procedures
- Authentication
- Business design considerations including technical design and implementation of PKI service
- Firewall design and implementation
- Secure remote operation
Lot 4b Testing
This will include such aspects as:
- Security standards compliance auditing including eSecurity
- Penetration testing (e.g. to CHECK scheme standards)
- Systems and network auditing
Lot 4c ICT Investigative Services
This will include such aspects as:
- Security incident investigation
- Information forensics
Lot 4d Day to day analysis & consultancy
This will include such aspects as:
- IT risk analysis (e.g. in accordance with CRAMM principles)
- Development and analysis of IT security policies
- Business risk analysis and business impact analysis
- BS7799/ISO 7799 health-checks, compliant policies, procedures and implementation
- Consultancy to CESG standards (CLAS)
- Implementation of Government security standards
- Development of policies and procedures required by the Data Handling Review
