The TCO Calculator and accompanying Guidance Notes are a method of considering whole life costs, covering direct and in-direct costs relating to Acquisition, Operation and Disposal.
It can be used as a tool when making purchase decisions and / or setting budgets, as it raises awareness of the full costs of PC purchases, accounting for expenses that might otherwise be overlooked.
