Using GSi to email Protectively Marked Information
A GSi email account can be used to join you and your organisation with many other areas of the UK public sector. The PSI (Public Sector Interconnect) can be used as a bridge to enable secure communications between these communities up to the RESTRICTED security level. There are around 440,000 email users on the GSi, 150,000 on the Police National Network and 1.2 million on the NHS network, so the PSI can make a significant difference to the way you communicate with the rest of the public sector.
Correctly addressed emails between the following communities will always pass securely over the PSI (not the internet) from your GSi email account.
