ICT CONSULTANCY & DELIVERY SERVICES
LICENSING
We offer a wide range of Software Licensing Agreements with leading software suppliers,
SOFTWARE OPERATING SYSTEMS AND PACKAGED SOFTWARE
The software operating systems and packaged software team manages the software lots of Associated Services
These lots provide easy access for the purchase of software from a number of suppliers. As the framework agreement itself has been advertised in OJEU, there is no need for orders placed under it to be advertised, thereby saving customers a significant amount of time.
The software lots cover ERP, operating systems, network security, development design and testing, data management, utilities and storage, office productivity, miscellaneous applications and database software.
Buying Solutions also manages a number of Memoranda of Understanding with software suppliers such as Microsoft and Oracle. These agreements are not in themselves EU compliant routes to purchase; rather they set the prices that these companies will offer to the public sector. Customers therefore need to comply with legal, regulatory and local regulations when purchasing from these organisations and the software lots of IT Goods and Associated Services can provide an appropriate vehicle with which to procure.
Since the start of IT Goods and Associated Services in May 2006, over £100 million has gone through the software lots alone and has been used by NHS Connecting for Health in their recent Microsoft deal for the NHS in which Buying Solutions helped with the evaluation and ITQ documents.
The software lots of IT Goods and Associated Services are about off-the-shelf purchases as opposed to bespoke requirements - where IT services are not the main focus.
The software lots of IT Goods and Associated Services can be appropriate for large, small and collaborative deals and we are interested in helping organisations use the framework agreement to the best effect.
We are also interested in helping organisations to aggregate requirements with other organisations.
SOFTWARE SOLUTIONS
Software Applications Solutions framework agreement commenced 17 December 2009. This framework agreement provides end to end solutions and can include:
- Consultancy
- Software development and customisation
- Integration with existing systems
- Data migration
- Training
- Ongoing maintenance

Geographic information including map making services, data capture, analysis and manipulation services and end to end geographic information solutions are all available through the Geographic Information Services and Solutions framework agreement.
