MoU Agresso

MoU with Agresso delivers 50th happy customer!

agresso.jpgSouthend University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust has become the 50th organisation to benefit from special arrangements established between Agresso and the Government.

Organisations across the public sector can save significant amounts of money on their Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solutions by taking advantage of the deal.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Agresso and the Office of Government Commerce, managed by Buying Solutions, establishes a special discounted price for the Business World software suite.

The MoU embraces central and local government, health, education, criminal justice organisations and emergency services. It also includes the voluntary sector and organisations providing services on behalf of the public sector, such as transportation and utility companies.

It covers software, support and all related services for the entire public sector. The agreement further increases the flexibility of the Agresso offering because it includes an unrestricted user access licence, so it is easy and free to add extra users as necessary. The more users you have, the lower the average cost per user becomes. The MoU also covers shared services arrangements.

This means the more organisations that buy Agresso Business World through the MoU, the greater the reduction in annual support and maintenance charges.

Anwen Robinson, Sales Director of Agresso, says: "Organisations take advantage of a site licence so they can deploy the solution right across their organisation.

"This delivers significant savings on their annual revenue budget and makes it easier to provide shared services with partner organisations. The framework agreement makes it easier for organisations to come together from a procurement perspective.

"The MoU is all about facilitating shared services and getting organisations working together.

“Agresso is going to take a dip in revenue because we are providing systems at a lower cost. But it is worth it for us, because we can extend our products and services to new customers through the shared services hubs. So everybody wins.

"David Myers, Director of Shared Services at the Cabinet Office adds: "I am delighted with this agreement between Buying Solutions and Agresso. This shared service ready approach is very much in line with Government strategy and we hope it will set a good example for others. We are keen to extend this type of agreement to similar organisations to Agresso."

The MoU runs until September 2009.Note: How the MoU and shared services work together Shared services can take many forms. This MoU embraces:

  • A single public sector organisation processing services on behalf of many others
  • An existing customer expanding their licence to add additional organisations
  • A third party providing outsourced shared services for public sector organisations

The licence is also transferable which means public sector organisations can move between shared service providers.
