Notice to Customers - Novation of Barkers Group Ltd to Penna plc trading as Penna Barkers
On Monday 29 June 2009, it was announced that Barkers Group Ltd had been taken into administration and that Penna plc had purchased the business and assets of Barkers Group Ltd.
Barkers Group Ltd is a Buying Solutions registered supplier and have been awarded onto both Lots (Specialist recruitment and Volume recruitment) of the Recruitment Services framework agreement let in August 2008.
Since 29 June 2009, Buying Solutions’ Legal team has conducted various investigations into this matter and has concluded that there are no legal objections to a Novation of the Recruitment Services framework agreement from Barkers Group Ltd to Penna plc. This has been born out by the fact that the Central Office of Information framework has also novated Barker Group Ltd to Penna plc.
Barkers Group Limited employees will TUPE transfer across to Penna plc who will trade as Penna Barkers against the Recruitment Services framework agreement. Penna plc have confirmed that all services and Terms and Conditions under the Recruitment Services framework agreement will be adhered to with no variation to that provided by Barkers Group Ltd.
Customers will therefore see a change of name on the website for Barkers Group plc to Penna Barkers.
