Gaseous Room Decontamination
This new framework agreement is a managed outsourced service that has been developed to speed up the development and adoption of gaseous room decontamination technologies.
The Gaseous Room Decontamination framework is designed to further help combat Health Care Associated Infections (HCAIs) (especially MRSA and C. difficile). These systems effectively bio-disinfect a wide range of pathogens on surfaces and within an enclosed healthcare environment or room. The safety and efficacy of the process has been well published, including proven activity against all known pathogen types such as bacteria, fungi, protozoa, viruses and bacterial spores.
The bio-decontamination processes include vaporised hydrogen peroxide technology which is well established gaseous biocide for use in the health, pharmaceutical, industrial and research markets. Essentially the same technology is also used for sterilization of medical devices, as an alternative to steam.
About Outsourced Services
Outsourced Services manage areas where there is a commercial solution for the performance of specific tasks, business functions or processes that fall outside of an organisation’s core role, resource levels or competencies but which are crucial for the regular functioning of the business. Within the public sector there is a strong focus on local or regional delivery through local or national suppliers. There is also often a strong focus on national standards or specific quality standards to meet legislative or policy requirements.
