Government Procurement Service is one of the largest buyers of heating and automotive fuels in the UK. Features of our service include the running of Further Competitions on customers' behalf and the close monitoring and control of supplier prices.
Government Procurement Service conducts its competing requirements by working with its customers to understand their needs and provide solutions, using our standard templates we ensure that all of the information required by our suppliers is obtained at the beginning of the customer interest then issue these to suppliers on our framework ensuring our customers receive the highest standard of service available.
It is important to remember that although the cost of liquid fuel may appear to be a large item of expenditure, the majority of the cost is the actual product, which is set by world markets, events, and currency exchanges, which we track on your behalf.
Following an OGC capability review in 2008, Government Procurement Service has handled the pan government procurement of liquid fuels. Following the success of this, we joined with NHS PASA to further aggregate purchasing power and have been working together on the tender for our new Heating & Fuel Oils frameworks.
The scale of this operation has enabled us to develop first class legal documentation and to secure supplier agreement to terms and conditions specifically for the public sector.
