Environmental Statement

NEC Philips has BS EN ISO 14001:2004 accreditation from BSI for its Environmental Management System (Certificate number EMS 506890).  We are registered with Valpak’s Producer Compliance scheme for the purposes of the WEEE regulations (Producer number WEE/JH0044SY).

 

 We recognise our responsibilities towards the environment and believe that environmental issues should be an integral part of the business. As part of a continuing drive for quality in all things we do, we are therefore committed to minimising the impact of our operations on the environment by means of a programme of continuous improvement.

 In particular, NEC Philips is committed to:Meeting and, where possible, exceeding the requirements of the appropriate legislation and any other requirements to which NEC Philips may subscribe from time to time.

 

Preventing pollution of the environment from its activities, through the effective application of its Environmental Management System and NEC Philips corporate policies

 

Seeking to reduce consumption of materials in all operations, to re-use rather than dispose of wherever possible, and to promote recycling and the use of recycled products.

 

Educating, training and encouraging employees to act in a responsible manner with regard to environmental issues

 

Identifying and achieving annual environmental objectives and targets

 

Conducting internal reviews in order to measure performance and to ensure policy goals and standard requirements are met.  Encouraging suppliers to consider similar practices by communicating our Environmental Policy.
