Off the Shelf Training
This type of training can be delivered as ready prepared courses for training in-house using your own training staff or the training organisation. These courses can be offered as half or complete days and can provide a value for money solution for training small to medium sized groups.
e-Learning
Using the S-Cat Service Providers who specialise in this area of training customers have access to a large portfolio of on-line courses and many more on CD. These products not only cover traditional IT packages but also the financial, management and softer skill areas.
Bespoke Training
Specialist training requirements can be met/addressed by using one of the training Service Providers that offer a bespoke service. Service Providers will provide a comprehensive set of learning solutions tailored to meet customers' specific needs. These are focused on the management and effectiveness of learning as part of an overall workforce improvement strategy. Some companies can also assist with accreditation of training courses to professional bodies.
Development Centres
These centres can incorporate competency-based interviews, group work and coaching scenarios, written tasks, case studies and presentations and be used to assess potential or current employees, analyse results and make recommendations to the customer.
Successful Delivery Skills Programme

The National School of Government
The purpose of the National School of Government is to help people and organisations delivering public services. It is the first port of call for civil service corporate leadership development and for the learning and development needs of HMG. Much of its work is designed to meet agreed competencies and standards, such as Professional Skills for Government and it also provides research, consultancy, evaluation, toolkits, events and tailored services for the civil and wider public service.
In addition to S-CAT and Catalist frameworks, the National School of Government provides services that complement these frameworks. The National School of Government is a government department and part of the Crown. As such, other Crown bodies do not have to follow a formal procurement process before using the services offered by the National School of Government as procurement rules do not apply to dealings between Crown bodies. Public bodies wishing to engage with the National School of Government in this way should ensure that they are part of the Crown before doing so. For a full description of the National School of Government and what it offers, please go to their website at http://www.nationalschool.gov.uk
