Customer Commitment to Participate in the Government Procurement Service eAuction Programme

It is essential to maintain the integrity of this programme with our supply base so that they see benefits to entering each eAuction. From a customer perspective it is imperative that after the eAuction has been completed the customer contracts with the winning supplier and then actually spends with that supplier. To do otherwise would leave the individual customer open to challenge from the winning supplier and would severely undermine the integrity of the eAuction programme to the point that suppliers may not enter them in the future if customers walk away after the event.

The Customer Shall

• Provide a detailed definition of the business requirement, its reflection in the contract and the selection of evaluation criteria and

• Enter into a contract with the winning supplier on the terms specified in Government Procurement Service call off terms and conditions.

Failure to comply with the above requirements may result in the customer being excluded from future eAuction events.
